A/C Question
I have noticed that when I do WOT pulls and extended spirited driving with the a/c on that the compressor is turning off and the air is getting hot. I assume that is a design feature to give the car all the power possible. Has anyone else noticed this ??

I believe this happens on most (if not all) cars. Definitely not exclusive to the Camaro

I experienced this without the WOT pulls and extended spirited driving last summer. Just normal driving. Went away when I pulled the negative battery cable in trunk. So far so good.

I have never felt it in any of my trucks. First car I have had in a long time. Also don’t drive the trucks like I drive this thing. I was pretty sure it was a design feature though. The only time it does it is in the very high rpm range and as soon as I let up I can feel the air get cold again. Thanks for the input.

The PCM disengages the AC compressor at WOT, has for 30+ years.
