Unplugged mic, window not working properly
Upgrading audio, passenger side speaker installed, mic disconnected.
Window doesn't drop when opened, and stays up when closing?? Driver side still works properly (mic still connected) NO speaker upgrade yet. Thanks

after some research, I'm see that only two wires at the amp are for mic.
That plug, (upper rear location) had 4 wires, I think. I'll look more into today, removing driver side later.

LOL, When I unplugged it, it wasn't the mic. It was getting dark and I was rushing. SO....I'm a stupid A$$. Upside: Factory installed clips need replaced.
I moved all the good ones to the driver side, from the passenger side (clips on order) Driver side panel fits GREAT now. (even with the factory locater broken) I thought the pin may be in the door......Not, GM floor.

whoa man, no need to down yourself. It's an oops. Doesn't mean you're stupid. We all learn as we go. Mistakes happen.
Since you're upgrading speakers, are you doing anything with the dash tweeters? I did full range door speakers so didn't need the tweets and disconnected them in the dash. The passenger side one kinda sucked but, the driver's side one is a complete PITA because of the console. There's hardly any room between the dash and the window. There was LOTS of swearing getting that sucker out to disconnect it. It really made me wish I just cut wires in the door. Would have been way easier but, I chose the hard way.

Went with Focal 6x9 3 way all around (4) doing the package tray next. And rear quarters with JVC 2 way. Amp and LC7I on the list. Tweeters, unknown at this time, if I just disconnect or replace them. No work after sundown anymore, after that last OOPS...lol

Sounds like you're going to have a great setup. I've never used FOCALs but, they have a solid reputation. I do use the LC7I though, and it does help a lot. It will just take some playing with to fine tune everything. I still tinker here and there with the setup. My advice is do low amplification on the LC7I and use your amp. Otherwise, your open door dinging sound will blow you out of the car. I simply disconnected my tweeters because I didn't know how the factory ones would sound with my new setup or if I might just blow them in the process. I definitely didn't want crackling or anything funky coming from them so, just disconnected them. Now that everything is installed, I'm glad I disconnected them as I don't notice much of a difference in my sound stage. I can sit in my car and close my eyes and be immersed in sound not really distinguishing where it's coming from. To me, that's ideal.
