Tire size with stock rims SS
I won't need new tires for quite some time, but I have the stock goodyears and the grip is nothing crazy.. Therefore, I would like to upgrade with a larger size tire along with a better tire overall.
So yeah how wide can I go without issues and what are you guys running on your SS with the stock rims? Thanks! |

255/40 front and 285/35 rear best fit for the stock size wheels. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are good.

Fronts are 8.5" wide so a 255 would be about the limit. Rears are 10" so 295s are fine.

Ya, seems like cause a problem (maybe wear issues) I'm not a tire guy.
But I would love to install a wider tire on mine, It just spins (too much power)

yeah thanks I was going to pick up the 4S tires once I upgrade, but by that time something out might surpass them. If 295's have 0 issues I will go with those, but has anyone experienced the 295 size on the stock rims?

You planning on keeping the stock tires for 7 years? It took Michelin that long before replacing the Pilot Super Sports with the P4S.

You can do 295's but only with a select few tires because of the differences in the widths of each manufacturer. Idk if I said that right, lol, but discount tires, in there system, says it's safe to run 295's ps4's on the stock rim.
