Smile New transmission fluid for A10

So I was at the dealership yesterday and was talking to a friend in the parts department about the issue with the a10 overfilled from the factory. I asked him to look up how much it would cost to change my fluid because mine is not recalled but I want to make sure and he found that there is a new dextrose fluid that is to be put in all A10s when serviced. Has anyone seen this yet?

Do you know if there’s any benefit to changing to that fluid?

It comes in all GM a10s to ever roll off the line. If you have an a10 it’s already in it.

isn’t this the replacement fluid for the A8? Maybe the parts guy was thinking about the A8.

I'm a parts guy too, the A8 takes Dexron HP which is a full-synthetic whereas Dexron VI is not. Dexron ULV is a new and completely different animal for the A10 only. My guess is that it is a full-synthetic Ultra Low Viscosity...

as stated, the ULV is the factory fill but some people with erratic shifting have had their fluid changed by the dealer. The ULV is the only fluid recommended for the A10.
