Best price on a 1LE?
I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a 1LE, but there are none in my area. The nearest ones I can find are about 200 miles away but that distance isn't much of an issue. My question is, what should I expect to pay? I have seen pricing from $46k (2k over msrp) all the way down to $39,5K. I'm hoping to score one around $39,5k to $40k. What is a realistic price I should expect to pay?
And I have never bought a car that isn't local? Do I purchase online? If I put a deposit down, what should I expect to pay or do I take a chance of driving 3 hours just to find out the dealer doesn't have one? So many questions, just trying to figure things out. I'm looking for a 1LE in this color ranking: 1. Green 2. Yellow 3. Silver 4. White 5. Gray 6. Blue 7. Black 8. Red

39 seems to be the lowest. I occasionally go to cars.com and put in the search word 1LE after searching camaros and the yellow one at 39 seems to be the cheapest for now. I expect they will dip a thousand or so more as the 18s get even closer but after that I don't expect many more to be left on the lots once the dip starts.
39 is still 5k off msrp for the ones listed which is pretty damn good for a relatively unique/not often seen package offering. I generally cannot stand white cars, but goodness the 1LE in white with the satin hood rustles my jimmies.

I agree that once these drop to a "discount" level they will be hard to find and that's why I'm looking at spending $41k, getting my $1500 loyalty money to get me to $39,5 if it'll work that way.

I've seen them advertised for $39ish.. These had an MSRP of $44,7k and prices seem to be dropping. I had an offer from a dealer to pick up a Yellow 1LE for $41k but passed. All the really good deals seem to be on the East coast (Florida, North Carolina) and too far for me.

Incentives are not great this month. I would wait until July 1st and see what changes.

IMO, now seems like a bad time to buy a 1LE. There aren't too many 2017 models left on lots (especially if you are particular on the color -- there isn't a blue 1LE within 2000 miles of me, for example). And if you order a new 2018 since production has started, then it will be MSRP. I'm currently working with Becky trying to order one, but I didn't get picked last week (the constraint was 11 nationwide) and who knows when it'll finally go through. Best case is it will be late in the summer before I see it, which is ... disheartening.

I dont think its possible to get a 1LE for 39k at the moment unless you have multiple things working in your favor such as additional dealer tags, loyalty credit with the dealer, cash for financing with the dealer, dealer cash for a trade(which they will probably work you over on the value of your trade), and they have had it inventory for a long period thus willing to take a loss on it.
Right now Chevy only has the 1000 customer cash, then either 1500 loyalty or 2000 mustang conquest. consider there is probably 1500 they can discount to get close to invoice, then what ever holdback the dealer will give up. What kind of dealer discounts have others got on ss 1le's? I am not talking about rebates or incentives as that is considered GM money. Has anyone got the dealer to discount more than 3000? if so how long did the dealer have the vehicle? |

There's a $1k cash allowance right now, and if you have supplier or employee discount it's additive. For sure there are some dealers willing to wheel & deal, and best of luck finding one that checks all your boxes.

I really had my heart set on the Krypton Green and found a loaded 1SS not too far from me for a decent price. I'll take delivery of it Monday.
