I'm sure it's old new but the paint Buff marks

So I just washed and waxed my new SS, but jesus, someone polished some two perfect circles of scratches on my drivers door. How does that pass final inspection.... Jesus!

I love the car regardless and doesn't really change anything about that, but just the lack of care by the final inspect process...

Yes that what I was thinking, you know what to do, fix it your self or get a professional detailer that can do it right

This is why we told the dealer NOT to wash/prep it before we picked it up. They usually manage to f it up somehow.

You're supposed to do the final inspection too before driving off the lot.

I always tell the dealers not to detail but they had already detailed my black SS Sedan before I bought it. Tried to sell me the paint protectant after bragging how awesome the SS looked after being detailed then I showed him all the buffer marks from the horrible detail job. I was able to correct the paint then took it back to the dealer and showed my salesman what a correct detail should look like.

That would take effort.

Man, you got a bone to pick or something? I am neither ignorant or lazy. I saw the swirl(circle) marks prior to buying it. I didn't really care(because I can correct them(hopefully), nor was it going to hold up a deal.

These are NOT dealer prep marks, Not even close. If you watch the camaro production show from 2010, you would see what caused these marks during the paint final inspect portion. Its where they polish a silver dollar size area to remove a defect. But it was done too aggressively and or not polished correctly.

All I am saying is that I am amazed that that kind of stuff, that is clearly visible, makes it out of the factory...

When I used to work at a dealership, our prep guys would really mess up a lot of cars when they would attempt to polish out defects. They were really bad at it.

So you inspected the car, noticed the bad spots, accepted the car anyway, but now want to bitch about it!!
