BEWARE 17 OWNERS, WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!,
Okay as some of you have read my prior post I've had my 2017 1ss for almost 30 days. Approximately 30 days, my MyLink radio has been out and Chevrolet has no idea on when my part would be available, according to them it's because the car is so new this was unexpected and the module needed is hard to get. So today I dropped off my car and got a Malibu to drive while my car just sits there and waits for the part. THIS completely sucks so if you do have a 2017!!!! before you take it home you better make sure this does not happen to you, ASK QUESTIONS.
(Some type of HDMI module).. and to TOP THINGS OFF you won't believe this, as I'm leaving the parking lot in the Malibu , feeling sad as hell, my 2012, V6 AKA (killa bee) that I traded in was pulling in, with a guy that just brought it 2 weeks ago with the radio PUMPING. I WAS LIKE Video of Code red going into service, and Killa bee leaving out what a day!!!!!

GM is having issues with the new systems, that's for sure. I hope they fix it ASAP.
My daughter's new Trax: reprogrammed 3 times, now needs a new radio. Our new Malibu: Replaced ECU after a CEL was set. Camaro: No issues and 7K miles so far. My fingers are crossed. The bright side? My dealership is the best. They have done everything to make this as convenient as possible. Fortunately, I only live 20 minutes away.

Nope your not missing anything. I felt the the same way but I had to think about what people were telling me. Why keep putting the extra miles on my car if there willing to take mine, it was there idea there really trying to soften the blow so Im gonna let them. According to the service manager and GM Im gonna be offered lots of "goodies" that I might really like once my car is finished and being so inconvenienced after just getting a brand new vehicle. Then you know how dealers can get they will use that against you if anything were to happen with the old "were so sorry sir, we did offer you a free rental and you refused"

Personally I wouldn't leave my car at the dealer waiting for a part unless it wasn't safe to drive. I don't trust people that much.

Word. I had to get several parts ordered on my car. I never let them keep it while waiting.

I would hope that if they are holding on to it that long that they would have it somewhere safe. Maybe it would be good to take pictures of what it looked like before they take it just incase.

Is the MYLINK radio different on the 17s than it is on the 16s?

Same question. I wonder what that teen driving mode feature requires? Software or some type of hardware module?

Been suffering with the MYlink since my 2014 Corvette....way more complicated than the people that are supposed to fix it. I have had mine flashed (3) times still blacks out randomly ...sucks for sure

Too bad...I have a Malibu LTZ and it's a pretty nice car but no replacement for my 2SS. You'll get it back soon and enjoy it as much as anyone else on the forum. Good luck.
