Manuals who have raced/done high rpm shifts, any issues with grinding or pedal stick?
As the title says. Lots of 5th gen SS owners had issues with high rpm 1-2 grinds or the clutch pedal sticking to the floor after high rpm shifts. There were some ways to fix this, but I'd of course rather not have to...
Any 6th gen SS owners have similar issues? I know a few updates have been done, and plenty of owners have ripped off countless high rpm shifts and hit the drag strip as well. I can't recall reading about any similar issues yet, but figured a thread would be a good place to talk about this. So, those of you who fit the bill, input? I was lucky with my 5th gen and only had one stuck pedal incident in 32K miles. So far with 2500 miles on the 6th gen - no problems. While I don't make a daily habit of high rpm "shits" (got to love spell check and auto correct huh!) or hard launches - I have done enough to feel this car is good to go.

I have had 0 issues with this. 3700 miles, 35 autocross runs. We shall see what happens over the next few years. I feel completely in sync with the transmission and clutch with no unpredictable behavior lately.

Only issue with going first to second is at the track where I get to much spin. |

In my experience if you pull the shifter a little early at red line that can happen but I'm yet to experience that.

no problems here so far with the transmission. just hit 5000 miles and do quite a bit of "spirited" runs now and then, and never have I run into this problem you speak of.

I come from living with an MT82 for the past years. Soo glad to be shifting a Tremec.
Mine has been 100% golden. I know the GT500's had a lot of 1-2 block-outs and grinding with their 6060's. That was 1. due to a dynamic reduction in clutch disengagement at high RPM, 2. driveline windup (solid rear axle) and 3. a short throw shifter. There were synchro improvements that effected Camaro and Challenger as well. |

Glad the TR-6060 in the 6th gen seems to be problem free in regards to these two issues though. |

Zero issues, even going 12.04, and driving the snot out of it.

Yes, a problem mostly solved in the 5th gens by adding a seperate clutch reservoir and changing the fluid in the reservoir often. My 1LE with 625 RWHP and a stock clutch and a separate reservoir ran I don't know how many runs and no problems with the clutch except taking it down to the rivets. Before that even at stock power, those problems you said, clutch slipping, pedal stuck to the floor, grinding.
My M6 CA6 SS has over 100 runs at Atco and 0 problems so far. The fluid still looks good. No need for the reservoir I think. Still if you race the car regular fluid service is a good idea.

"notchy" feeling and 'grinding' feel on the other hand - LOTS of 5th gen manual SS owners have reported this - even after fluid changes. seems to be a characteristic of the transmission.

I've only gone bananas with it a couple of times, but no issues.
