MPG
Hello, I am glad I found this place. I am a new member and everyone here has awesome feedback and expertise that is greatly appreciated. I went from an Rx8 to a 350z to a 2011 2ss Camaro manual transmission and love it. However I just wanted to check in with other members and their mpgs.. i am getting about 14.5 mpg on 93 octane and cruise mostly at 2000-2500 rpm...

the mpg varies a lot with camaros as it takes nothing to kill your mileage. when i was stock i got 20+mpg all the time just driving around. If I really tried i could get 29mpg. at what speed are you driving 2000-2500 rpm. you should be in 6th at 60mph. Now I get 17-25 keeping my foot out of it.

For cruising I'd try keeping it between 1300-1800, depending on the speed. You'll get at least 19-24 MPG.

Coming back from my last vacation I averaged 35 mpg hwy at 400 miles. This is with towns and idiots where you have to slow down and sometimes red lights.

I'm S/C'd with an auto and get 22-23 mpg. It all depends on how heavy that foot is when you take off.

This is what the SS gets on the highway. Don't believe the exaggerators here that claim the get 26-29 mpg. Sorry, it just doesn't happen. Congratulations on your new to you 5th gen. Gas is cheap right now- Drive and enjoy imo.

14 mpg in the city ( that's an improvement )
18 mpg on the highway. ( only checked one time ) p.s. I'm not trying to save gas. In fact quite the opposite.

I get around 18 in town and about 22 on the highway, but I drive pretty conservatively for the most part.

Before I did my cam swap I got 26 mpg with regular driving average. That's calculated by miles driven divided by gallons used, not what's on the dic. At the time I had a k&n filter and flowmaster mufflers. I'm pretty heavy on the gas pedal as well and the highway speed in my state is 75 mph.
After added intake, long tubes, cam and tune my regular driving mpg dropped to 19mpg. My on track mpg is 9 whether it's half mile events 1/4 mile or road course.
