Give a cpl more yrs. $40k is coming. It's a select few that give acknowledgement to the car. Why do you think they're still available and can't sell them? In 10 yrs $25k will be easily obtainable. No one wants them. They wan 4cyl TT with 800HP. Or S/C cars. Everything's boost.

It's still a street legal car. If the Z/28 had all the bells n whistles? They'd have ALL sold. Ppl want as much technological crap stuffed into them. More power is more of an afterthought compared to steering wheel warmers, cup warmers, cameras all over the car with warning signals, automated driving ect.

I'm in the middle of heads and cam on my 1LE, and seriously thought about ripping the AC out while I was in there. I'm in this car for the fun of it, not the convenience or comfort of it. I used the AC twice this summer in Tucson, and both times only because the wife was with me and complained about the windows being rolled down.
If I had the coin I'd be ALL OVER a sub $60k z28.

If there's ever going to be a true "collector's" Fifth Gen, it's going to be the Z/28. Athough, I know too darn well that I would drive it too much to get there for me. But, limited production, specialty car, and big cubed N/A motor. Probably will never see another car like it again.

If you're in your mid 30s and older, then Id say that's where the Z/28 lies with ppl who are accustomed to the classics. But these days? Creature comforts with boost are where it's going and the HP will begin to drop as time goes on. Then you'll be measuring in KWs rather than HP anyway... Not to mention collecting anything these days? Hmmmm idk if it's even worth it. Most ppl now a days don't care about yesteryear. It's today, right now roll with it. You think a kid who never grew up with: a phone connected to a cord on the wall, no seatbelts heavy metal cars, riding in the back of pickups, played outside with sticks, rocks, imagination is going to worry about a Z/28? I think they'll like be more worried about new technological junk that comes out to make them even lazier...

We have one in my town for $62K, that's used with only 100 miles on it, from what I hear is someone purchased it and brought it back in a few days not sure if it was a financing issue or someone's significant other got pissed, sure seems like a good deal. I have thought about purchasing it as a second Camaro, maybe offer them less than 60K and see if they will bight.

Good gravy. Nice price.
re: track car....I would have wanted a 1965 GT350 for the street. It was brutal, noisy, uncomfortable. Even better- a GT350R. Today we think that a car with no iPhone jack, connectivity options, satnav, and cooled seats is crap. Well, most folks. I don't care about those things. I want performance. I asked if I could get my 1SS with no radio. If I had realized the 1Le was coming out I would have waited. I can't afford a Zl1 or a z/28 but I got some bang for the buck. needs more torque though.

I know the Z28 is all about performance but that car is butt ugly imo.
I know opinions vary but sorry, I like my '10 SS better.
