I treated my paint and interior myself after I got it home, did not want to pay their prices and wanted superior products to what they use.

I turned it down. The dealer wanted about $1,000 for it, and I felt like that was a rip off.

I went ahead and done it, I think it only cost me 500 bucks and from what they told me and read I figured it would be worth it in the long run, keeps your paint from fading (my cars yellow), helps protect paint from rocks and small scratches and the interior protects against spills and the leather and such. So I went for it.

500 is overpriced, 1000 is a scam. $5 can of scotch guard and a upgraded wax job!

I got it for "free".
Fremont Chevrolet gave me AutoButler for 5 years (twice a year application) if I purchased the GM extended warranty. The following week, I cancelled the extended warranty. I must say, the Auto Butler does a fantastic job on the car's finish. The paint is so silky smooth for months after treatment. Also, dirt in the car can just be hosed away. |

i have a black 2 LT I bought new in 13. I had the dealer do the clear bra before I took delivery. I had the front facia, mirrors, and door cups done. I also had the GM flares put on at dealer too.
I think its a good idea to do this on most colors. I paid $550 to have dealer do it. |

They put Zurich Shield on my car when I got it and I wish I hadn't done it. They didn't do any paint correction and it looked like crap. They also did the interior and got that stuff all over the place. It was a terrible job.
I ended up taking it to a real detail shop and having Opti-Coat put on. They stripped the old stuff off, corrected the paint, and it looked awesome, like a new car should look. What they use is important, but they need to prep the car correctly to have it look as good as possible. I don't know that a dealership would take the time to do that. Mine didn't. |

I was pretty impressed when I got mine back, the paint is now silky smooth and its got a bright shine to it and the interior now has an even darker black look, overall looks really nice. My dealership done a good job, Some people may think its silly or overpriced but I think it was well worth it if they do a good job. Yellow is a bad color to fade and this should protect that from happening, and since it sits lowprone to rocks and such so I figured why not.

I can out do all your dealers! My dealer wanted $1,995 for Dupont protection inside and out. I gave it a 1/2 second to register in my mind and........declined!
