can't believe how dead it is lol, they deleted the TriCounty thread and a few other threads that were created with tons of activity. I temporarily lost my mind as test drove a 2015 Mustang what a POS lmfao got my eyes set on a black 1SS non RS thats sitting at my local dealership they are giving that thing away lol might finally be ready to pounce we will see... 6th gen debuts tomorrow but by the time its released and pricing goes down to normal it will be a 2017 1/2 model, I can't wait that long....

We're still active down here in Southwest Florida (Fort Myers area) but sadly many of our friends are no longer on Camaro 5. Guys like Jim, Travis, John, Tim, Pedro, and of course Adrian. Sometimes their posts were maybe a touch controversial, but they were the most entertaining and kept people coming back to the forum day after day.
Hopefully the gang will get back together again on the weekend of 19 - 21 June at Lake Okeechobee. All Camaro enthusiasts are invited and the more the merrier!!! Camaros are the theme, but it's not necessary to bring a Camaro for the weekend because the comradeship is much more important than the car. And if you have a boat...bring it!!! Make your reservations today. Info is at: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404105. Also, if you're in SWFL tomorrow Tri-County Camaro Club, SWFL Chapter is having a meet at the Victory Lane Cafe in Cape Coral at 11:15 just further proof we're still alive and well. There may not be much activity from the chapter on Camaro 5, but we're still having fun! |

From these photos I would get that 1SS at your local dealership. But overall the activity on the boards and even shows in general are down :(

I hope those aren't it.
That is not my cup of tea. I was actually thinking of trading in my 13 for a 17 later on if they did a 50th Anniversary Edition. That would have been a great 30th Birthday present. But looking at it now.I am going to keep my 1LS and keep working on it.

I'm still here too, but honestly, all the stuff that went on in the "heyday" during 2011+2012 is over. It started going downhill in 2013. Probably the most active thing in South Florida right now is the new(ish) group I'm a part of called SoFlo Muscle Cars that is open to any make/model of American muscle whether it's classic or modern. We're very low key and we're not even defined as a club, so it's a way different experience than what I'm used to. Most of the activity these days actually seems to be north of the tri-county area.
I think most of those old faces we remember just moved onto different cars or different hobbies altogether. I haven't displayed mine in a show for judging in over a year and haven't brought it to the drag strip in two years. Hell, I plan on retiring it from daily use by the end of this year and getting a beater car, because I would like to keep my 2011 forever and like you, I'm not impressed with the 6th gen so far. I don't think Florida is ever going to be like how it was 2011+2012, and maybe that's a good thing lol. You're not going to get the same feeling you had back then, if for no other reason that all the people you remember have moved on. The truth is that like everything else, the 5th gen was a fad, and with all the new cars that are out now that either outclass it (certain Mustangs, Challengers) or replace it (the 6th gen or maybe even a Corvette), only the most loyal owners will continue to own them and participate in the hobby with them. |

Yep...I agree. I've noticed a huge drop off in activity. It was most apparent when I was trying to get people to come to Pony Wars....even the "regulars" seemed uninterested.
Oh well...I still have my car, and I'm still here. Guess I will have to up my racing scene....the only problem with that is that there is simply nothing close to me......*sigh*
