How Many Have CAI
My buddy, archaic as he is, saw my Rotofab cold air intake and said "That's what the ricers put on their cars." Honestly, he hasn't been around the performance community since about 2003. I explained that any modded Camaro now was going to have had that done. Not necessarily Rotofab, but some sort of cold air intake
So how right was I, how many people, except the ones that have kept their cars bone stock, have a cold air intake on it.

The first step in extracting more power from an engine is getting more air in it with greater efficiency.

well shit, I thought you meant CAI the brand, not just a cold air intake...so I voted no, but I do have a roto-fab as well.
in all honesty, are these really cold air intakes, or short ram intakes?

An air intake system that helps your car breath easier will make your car more fun.
Unless you do testing of the intakes on the same car, in the same time frame, on the same dyno, with the same conditions, changing nothing on the car other than the intake, I wouldn't trust the numbers. If you use different cars, that changes the data. With the testing, the commanded AFR should be the same to determine how the unit effects the final AFR. The fuel trims shouldnt factor into the test if they are stable. They shouldnt be plus XX on one test and minus XX on another test. That makes the data not reflect the same conditions for test. Commanded timing and actual timing should remain close to the same at WOT for the test. Weather conditions should be the close to the same. IAT should be the close to the same to determine how much they rise during the run. If you pulling timing because of the IAT table on one test and none on another test, that's going to effect the final numbers. Phil |

Me too. I read the question above the poll which said "do you have cold air inductions" and my brain went to the brand I have a RotoFab too.

So in other words he has no common sense when it comes to performance modifications.
