20x9 on the front?

Hey, I'm about to pull the trigger on some rims, and I just want to make sure before I do. I'm not an expert so..... I can put 20x9 rims on the front (they don't make the 20x8 for the ones i'm getting) with no problems right?

Also, I want the Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Anybody had them a while? They last significantly longer than the Pirellis?

There are many 20x9 wheels that will fit on the front.....and there are many that won't!!! It depends on the offset/backspacing, and mounting pad height. If you give us more information about the wheels, we might be able to help you a little more.

this is very true.....I'm running the 9's all the way arouind with 275/40's.....I'm running the STOCK Factory wheels.....and they fit GREAT. With the factory 9's (REARS) the offset is a +40....and although there is no rubbing, lock to lock, with the 275's, the clearance is fairly close to the spring pearchs. There is about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch clearance. So if you get a wheel with MORE offset.....ya need to be real careful.

Isn't it that the smaller the offset the more the wheels is pushed out , and the bigger the offset the wheels is more into the car center ?Dragoneye [ POSTED BY YOURSELF ]has a explanation that seems to clear this issue

No problem man , that's my stubbornness at it's best . On the other hand you were the one that explain to me some time ago how that works , elephant memory never let it go .

The 9 on the front is a "no brainer" assuming it is at the correct offset. Scarallo Motorsport wheel makes a 20x10 for the front with a 20x11 for the rear that fits even better then the factory ZL1 setup.

If you go with the Proxes 4 you will absolutely love them. We just finished doing some testing with them on our own Camaro and they absolutley great. Great hook, very quiet, and great in the rain.

A 20x9.0 is no problem as long as the wheels has the right offsets. What wheels are you getting?
