Which front o2 sensor...?
Hey guys, stripped out my passenger side pre-cat sensor while taking it out of the old exhaust. Im having a helluva time figguring out which replacement will work?
I have a 2011 2SS On rock auto theres 4 options. Obviously the downstream or rear one are not the one: Is "posn 2" or "posn 3" what I want? ugh :( |

If you mix brands left and right you could have a tuning Issue. Ted.

It looks like that is the front. I looked up the OE number that cross references to that AC Delco number - 12617332 - and on a dealer's online parts ordering system it shows as pos 2 - pre catalyst. The one they show for pos 3 says post catalyst. So it looks like you need that one called position 2.

02 sensor placement map
B1 is where cylinder 1 is so for GM that is drivers side which leave B2 for passenger side S1 is before (upstream) the CAT S2 is after (downstream) the CAT As example B2S1 is right front and B1S2 would be left rear. Do not be cheap on this, ie, spending a bit less on "generic" type as it may not match well with the PCM hardware quad driver causing false AFR readings New 02 should come with a bit of anti seize on threads if not make sure you put some on. |
