LG G6X3 cam vs Texas Speed 231/236 cam

They both sound amazing. Which one is better. I almost like the torque curve of the LG G6X3 cam better.

G6X3 is a bad ass cam and makes bad ass power, If I wasn't going FI I would throw in the G6X3.

Can't go wrong with either, really. The G6X peaks a few hundred rpm later, and makes 5-8hp more peak from what I've seen. This is the only graph I have from my original dyno tune, it was @900 miles, Cam only 231/236

I made 470rwhp cam only, 485rwhp with an UD pulley/ported TB and 505rwhp with ported factory heads on a TSP 231/236. Love the cam.

Both are good camshafts. We built the 231/236 a little bit smaller because piston to valve clearance is a real problem with larger camshafts. We are working on a little bit larger camshaft, but it will take a little more time. We're not just picking lobes out of a catalog, we are competely designing a new intake lobe specifically for the constraints the LS3 gives us.

Is the 231/236 largest cam can be installed on the ls3?

It's not the largest. But it's the largest they offer without having to clearance the pistons. Some people don't feel the LG is small enough and the PTV clearance isn't enough. I've also heard that the LG cam is awesome but it doesn't come in strong at all on the bottom which another reason why I went with the 231/236.

Why the STD numbers? I love my LG cam and there are no PTV issues that I know of. The vette guys have been running this cam for years now.

My SAE numbers are in the sig and my STD numbers are below

STD 495RWHP and 461RWTQ
