Getting older, your favorite car and memories you have
I'm 36 and I love my SS 11 years ago I bought my Z28 I was 26..Lots of good times LOVED that car too.. (got into an accident it got totaled and took me until now to buy a new one) Lot of factors involved .. the economy etc.. different financial decisions.. Nothing bad.. just at the time were very important.
Does it seem for some of you that time is kinda moving way too fast? For example.. All I could think of is going out meeting up and hanging out at fav spots with the guys and girls and my car etc.. FF to now.. Most of them are married .. I'm not .. or they moved away.. and you go to your fav spots you used to love to go and which was packed all the time and find you are like the only one there.. DO I make any sense? I mean I love my car and i dunno.. something just seems like there is a void there.. I hate getting older i guess.. |

Mine has to be...(and I am 36)
Having one of the most modded Corvettes in the country and having had the car in 2 Fast 2 Furious movie is honoring to me. Knowing people will be able to see my car even after I am dead is a neat feeling. |

@Indpower: Very nice!
My favorite car was the 2000 Corvette I had. I got it back in 2006 and it had very low miles and was a great price. I babied the heck out of that car. Told myself I wouldn't seriously modify it for a little while. I can't remember which month, but first quarter of 2008... sitting at a stop light, turn left just like any other day... twenty seconds later... t-boned :( Lady ignored her stop sign. I miss that car everyday, but the memories from that car will always be there! |

46 here. My mom drove a 70 Firebird Formula 400 when I was growing up. Man, I have a lot of memories with that car.
Which is probably why I own one today? |

I'm 55 and drive a 2SS LS3 and my favorite car for memories was a 70 SuperBee with a 440 six pack, 4.10 Dana and a pistol grip 4 spd. I bought the car in 1975 and owned it for a couple of years before selling.

1977 Mustang II.... Not a great car, but it's my favorite because I got it when I was 18 and kept it for 10 years. In those 10 years I learned most of my mechanical abilities working on and modding it.
I built a 302 for it, then a 351. Also welded in subframe connectors and an 8 point cage... |

Your right about time flying, but younger guys today will never know how great it was growing up in the '50's and 60's in the USA.

'93 Ford Probe
Gotta say my favorite car was just retired when I got my Camaro. It was my '93 Ford Probe. Kicked butt AND got 26 MPG all the time. Handled like it was on rails. Had a seat that a driver could love because it adjusted in every direction, including adjustable lumbar and bolster. We lived together almost 18 years.
And NO my Camaro is not yet my favorite. This was like getting rid of a comfortable pair of shoes. I knew it and could control it to the very limit. The Camaro is still a bit unpredictable to me. LOTS more power and rear wheel drive. |

I'm 56 and previous cars include '72 Pinto, '79 Mercury Capri, '80 Datsun 310, '81 Olds Omega, '88 Taurus and '97 Taurus. This is the first time in my life there is no Ford parked in my driveway.
