2011 1SS SG - On Hold In Oshawa Since 8/16 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Folks,

Should I be concerned that my 2011 1SS Synergy Green, confirmed built on 8/16/10 is still "on hold in Oshawa". Yesterday my dealer was only able to confirm it was built and on hold. Camarotracking.com also lists "on hold in Oshawa". It was ordered with SG, A6, 20" polished, and white stripes....nothing unusal where a new item such as the Hurst shifter option may have factory installation issues.

My dealer is in Saline, Mich which is maybe 4-5 hr drive from Oshawa. Dealer said perhaps its a shortage of transport drivers. They said the Chevy Equinox is delayed big time due to shortage of transport trucks & drivers at the factory.

Anyone including our good friends at Oshawa Plant know what is causing the "on hold" issues ?

I seen a 1SS Synergy Green in the lot at Oshawa, Auto, Polished wheels. Was in the hands of QC.

Whether it was yours or not? Dunno. I have some pics of it somewhere. Saw it 8/20.

Hey, i was at my dealer yesterday to trade my 2lt/rs for a 1ss synergy green and was told that synergy green was on constraint due to paint issues......

Not good news to hear. In QC storage lot, and SG paint constraint issues !! Were there other SG Camaros in the QC lot ? If there is a paint quality issue with SG, and they have to repaint the car or effected areas, is the repaint same quality as orginal "baked-on" paint.

I dunno, but I have a 1SS/RS Synergy Green auto sitting on my lot right now. Got here last week. Not sure what the hold up would be, unless it's stuck in QC with an issue.

I'm even more concerned about this "on hold" issue when Scotty says "there are no constraints this week". What happened last week ? It sounds like my 1SS has a QC issue. Whatever it is, I think GM should provide the details to my dealer who ordered the unit to be upfront with me, the customer, epecially if exterior paintwork is involved.

This very frustrating. I may walk away from this unit and reorder or wait for the Z-28.

Just got back from spending a day in Wisconsin Dells with my daughter and family. They don't know that I have a Synergy Green 2SS that I hope to get this week. Synergy Green can't be on hold because 5 minutes before we got there my son-in-law told me that a Synergy Green 2SS was unloading luggage at the hotel. And he said it was super sharp. He owns a 69 Camaro.

I think it's too early to be that concerned.

I had a 1SS Synergy Green that had a TPW of 8-16 but wasn't built until the following week. That car is not at my dealership yet either.

Hang in there...there were a LOT of Synergy Greens built the week of 8-23. It's on the way.

Won't be long now!!

I have one Synergy Green here, with two more in transit (in Chicago).

There WAS a date where we could order, but production was weeks after...but they are being built and shipped....and can be ordered through November, then they will be gone just in time for the convertible!

probabilty is transportation, they have to fill a truck going your direction, but I would ask your dealer to get a more defined answer. My 2SS-SGM, A6 was built the day before your's (8/13/10). your car is on hold for a least 2 days for them to put the stripes on, and there is suddenly a lot of SGM's to strip. My car was also QC'ed, had 11 miles on it when it came off of the truck. Paint job is terrific, Saleman and I went over it very carefully, and I've washed it twice already. I'm 6 hrs from the plant so it came by all the way by truck and arrived at the dealer 8/21/10 and I picked it up 8/23/10. Camarotracking still showed it "Wait Transportation" as of 8/25/10 and I had been driving it for 3 days, so after 3400 it is not very accurate. Wish you the best of luck, it will suddenly show up out of nowhere, and the SGM with the white stripes is AWESOME - a real head turner!!!

My 2SS-RS Black with Inferno Orange Stripes was built on 8/12/10 and I still have not seen the car. CT's last update was on 8/21 when it was dropped in Selkirk,NY. I live in Connecticut less than two hours from Selkirk and the dealer swears it's from lack of transports. I've been crying myself to sleep each night waiting. My dealer called dispatch and swears that I will see it by Wednesday... Outside chance for Tuesday.

It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
