i have a cold air intake and its the Cold air inductions brand, so yes i do find them worth it for performance, and it replaces the ugly stock one.

Yup, CAI was the first thing I did. I think I had 365 miles on it.

Does GM offer a Camaro with stock CAI, for either the ZLI or 1LE or the new Z28? Seems for increased HP and the need to keep CAFE standards as best they can, a CAI would be an easy "OEM mod", as everything the OEM offers is of course passed onto the customer with a $$$ option: airbags, traction control, dual tipped exhaust, you know, everything on the car we pay for. And yes, even if a option now like anti-lock brakes are considered std., no extra charge or N/C, we are all paying for it.

Just wondering why the car doesn't come with a factory installed CAI if what the after-market promises it to do? GM could source a supplier and sell it to us for less than we can buy it after-market. In fact, one vendor on this site hawking a CAI could sell more to GM in a model year than the next 30yrs selling them to us one at a time.

I was taught to think logically which can be dismaying to most, including myself.

Peace out.

Just curious, did any of the manufacturers do any actual dyno testing? This trend reminds me of the K&N craze of the late 90s, early 2000s. Lots of money spent, and much less flow than a clean Wix filter that cost a fraction of the price. In my opinion, one of the best marketing companies in the world, not so much of a filter company. Anyway, any dyno numbers on these new systems?

The RotoFab on a ZL1 is proven to get gains of 30 RWHP on average, without any tune.
