2 stock ZL1 1/4 mile passes tonight
I took my car to Richmond Dragway tonight for 2 passes which were not too bad considering the heat and stock tires. DA was +2200 ft. I lowered the air pressure to 21 psi in the rears and increased front pressure to 45psi. I left the car in "D" with a seven second hold of the traction control button to turn off traction control and stabilitrak. I left the suspension setting in Tour. No burnout...just a clean off before rolling to the line. Here are both runs:
60' 1.87 1.93 330' 5.0536 5.1086 1/8 7.6078 7.6618 mph 97.38 97.42 1000' no clock 1/4 11.6164 11.6584 mph 123.63 124.79 Not bad considering the DA and tenative launch. I don't think I've had an easier time running a mid 11. It was like a drive to the grocery store.

Did you put in it a PTM mode?

no PTM modes...just nannies off. Hold the traction control button until both lights illuminate.

This is where this car should be. It can improve a bit. Good job....

The A10 won't go into performance shifting in tour mode. I would at least drop to tour or track. Good solid runs though.

Had no idea about that. I will try again in Sport or Track.

I have seen people say they had better times in Tour. I wonder why?? Next you should take it to Va motor sports park it's a great track too.

During normal driving you can blip the throttle and it will jump to ~4k rpms and hold and performance shift message will display. Or when you get aggressive with the throttle it shifts harder. It won't do this in tour. Not sure if it really makes a difference at WOT but doesn't hurt to be sure. Also, I was able to hit 1.80 on stock, full air pressure tires using race mode and just stalling it to 1500 at the line. Probably because all the nannies are on and it's giving sort of a launch control. Quite sure if they really got into the settings tour would not be the way to go on a prepped track. The A10 just hasn't been out long enough for folks to really work through all the settings. |

Nice runs. Your trap speeds look very good. I personally look at that to determine how fast the car is.

Do the tires need to be warmed up? I know it is debatable heating up street tires, but these aren't normal street tires.
