GM Part Number for 1LE Hood Wrap?

Guys, an unfortunate series of events has led to my car needing a new hood wrap. For insurance purposes, they're having a hard time finding a GM part for the wrap itself. I know it's a 3M vinyl, but does anyone know the actual GM replacement part number for insurance estimate purposes?

I don't believe it has a part number, I had issues with mine as soon as it came off the truck and the dealer spent like 2 weeks trying to coordinate with GM to have it repaired and never came up with a part number. Best I can tell you is you would be better off not messing with Insurance and just peeling the wrap off yourself and paying the $250-$300 to have it re-wrapped.

I am having mine redone in satin...the matte is just so difficult to maintain. Also everything else on car (mirrors, spoilers, etc) is already satin...should look good when done.

I would do that but all of the pics I've seen from people that have redone the hood in satin it looks like it doesn't match the painted satin pieces 100%. That would bug the shit out of me.

Thanks. I was afraid there might not be a GM part yet. I like the matte finish and would like to keep it. I may just give a local vinyl place a call to see what they say.

Well, it looks like there is a part number for the wrap on the 15 and earlier 1LE.

I wonder what you get with that? If it's just a big square that needs to be trimmed to fit, it might work on the later car with a smaller hood?

Part number is 84106350. I can't tell you whether or not it is pre-cut but the number is the same for the SS & LT. Readily available and lists for $325.88.

I've had a warranty replacement for the wrap, the OEM wrap I've read is just 3M matte black, My dealer had a guy come in and rewrap the hood without issue.

Mine was cut too short, almost looks like it came precut and they definitely do not remove the hood vents for wrapping which causes other issues (hood vents get bowed)

Unfortunately this isn't pre-cut, the ZL1 1LE uses the same part number as well. It comes on a big sheet

Saw a base 2LT that a local dealership tried to wrap to make into a "wannabe 1LE".

It was that bright krypton green, and they did not take the wrap around the edges to where you saw green around the edges. Looked awful, especially near the wipers at the base of the windshield. As a driver, you'd see that all the time!

Whatever happens, make sure you have a good installer who takes it around all the edges like the stock application...and removes the hood vents before hitting with heat gun.

How are you guys maintaining the wrap? I purchased the stuff from Adams, and it does ok but I'd really like a nice even coating. Always ends up a little streaky

Per a recommendation on this site, I use the Chemical Guys Matte Detailer.

Looks good and doesn't streak.
