Just for everyones i fo dealerships have a odr guy in once a week to do small repairs. My pdr guy services my local dealer evdry wed. So op .....tell them nothing and if its mentioned then tell them you will pay their pdr guy to fix it. As long as the damage is away from the edges of the panel its an easy fix and not expensive.

I would wait for them to notice. Whether the car was in your possession or theirs, the damage would've occurred. If it's a local dealer, chances are other vehicles in their lot suffered the same damage or possibly worse.

When you bring a car in for trade, you don't run around the vehicle to the salesman telling them everything that wrong with the trade in do you? I know I don't, I wait for them to find it on their own. If they miss something, that's on them. Anyone that says they do other wise is full of manure!

Wait for them to notice, if they find it, negotiate.

I heard a service manager tell a woman here car was spewing black smoke at start up because oil had leak "onto" the exhaust pipe. You can do what you want with that.

If you don't tell them, good luck ever getting another loan car.

You could always try to take it back while it's raining, maybe they would spend to much time looking for issues.

Is it the dishonesty that makes them dirt bags?

Any pics?

With my experience on rental cars, if the damage (dent or scratch) is within a certain size, like a circle the size of an inch, they don't hold that against you. It's probably the same with the dealer loaner they gave you.

Are you planning on looking over your car to see if they left it outside in the hail? If so do you expect them to fix the damage that occurred to your car while in their possession? Let's say they don't notice the damage on the loaner car and you notice damage on your car do you expect them to fix it?

Be a man and own it. If it's as minor as you say it is they may not even car cause if it's a rental car they likely plan on wholesaling it off at the end of it's life anyways.

Regardless of what happens keep us posted.

Honestly and thanks for all the input guys.

I doubt my car was garage kept and he service guy quoted me Tuesday the car will be ready. They are sure taking time on it this time. I wouldn't be upfront about the hail damage if my car had some hits too. "Also have a good PDR contract" I bought with my car. So if mine had dents I would take it
To them...

It's funny because whenever I called the service advisor I did let him know the car did have a little spec of a small scratch from road debri. Automatically, if there is any damage we will file it with your insurance.. then I paused then he mentioned, or we normally have a guy come buy and touch up our rides...

I know I should do the right thing, however.. I also think it was messed up when they replaced my engine, they broke my engine cover and scratched my fuse box. I had to get the service manager involved to try and get those replaced...

Thanks for all the input.. I'll update you folks and post the picture today..
