Would 305/30/21 tires rub against the rear harness?

Purchasing 21" vossens with tires mentioned in the title..

Wheels are
21x9.5+25 front (tires are 265/35/21)
21x11+37 rears (305/30/21)

tires are the Pirelli P zero Nero gt

Should I have any rubbing issues at all...NOTE: My car will be lowered on the aFe springs 1.25' drop in front 1.5" in rear

Don't feel like moving the harness if I don't have to

I think your biggest concern will be the height of the front tire. My street setup is a 285/35 on 20x10 with a +23 offset. I barely clear the spring perch. Your wheel will give you about 4mm more clearance away from the strut tower than my setup so the angle on the perch may be sufficient to clear. But that tire is 4/10ths of an inch taller than mine. If my tire were 4/10ths of an inch taller, it wouldn't spin.....

It would probably hit, a 305/30/20 is reported to be okay (OD = 27.2") and a 305/30/20 is reported to rub (OD=28.4) and a 305/30/21 like you want is (OD = 28.2") so I would say it would rub because it is within 0.2" to the 305/35/20 tire which does rub.

The harness relocation is extremely easy (remove wheel liner, cut zip-ties, put new zip-ties on), I would do it regardless just to be safe because it's a very expensive thing to replace if you damage it.

Check out this thread I made a while back for more details on the wire relocation:

LSmith353:

I have BFG Comp 2s with 305/35/20 in the back and 275/35/20 in the front. My rears are a little bit bigger than the front, to even it out I was planning to get 285/35/20s up front.

Are you running BFGs? Any issues with rubbing on the spring perch or the wheel well liner in the front with 285/35/20?

My 305/30/20 Michelin PSS tires did rub when I launch or accelerated hard. Relocated and now no problem other than the hole burned into the well liner (I will figure out how to close that hole up later.

I am also running BFG Comp 2 A/S. As long as my camber is no more than -1 it does not rub. Any more aggressive in the camber and it rubs on the angled part of the perch. A Michelin PSS in the same size is actually a little larger and has even less clearance. Had to ise a 5 mm spacer and still can't get more than -1.

Hmmm, that's pretty tight. I know that a -1 camber is 1 degree with the top of the tire pointing in/bottom of tire sticking out, but how easy is that to get misaligned by that much?

Stock street alignments specs are about -.8 +\- a few tenths. Track specs are -2 negative camber sobits not misaligned. I can't get it where I want it......

I guess I stick with the 275s then, haven't had any issues with rub.
