Here currently at the Houston Auto show. Just checked out the Hennessy Excorcist and all I can say is meh. The car is not as advetised and does not make anywhere near the rumored 1000hp. The Excorsist is actually their standard hp850 kit that puts around 720 RWHP. With some poking and prodding I got a few more details and looked under the hood. Car is very basic and is still running on the stock catback matted to Kook's LTH's. Under the hood mods include a custom CAI lower pulley with balancer 15%, and a mild cam. Straight pump no meth. Will post pics latter when I get home.

I saw your car outside HHP the other day. Mine was inside getting a fuel system.

My favorite part is the fact that people think this is something Chevy is offering. An acquaintance asked me if I knew about this car and he was talking about how Chevy is supplying cars to Hennessey and all this other stuff... Some people man...

Well to Hennessey's credit (and I certainly don't like giving him any) the top speed of the manual does appear to be about 175 in 5th gear.

The A10 hit 200mph but the manual's 6th gear is just too tall to pull passed 175mph.

Just saw the Exorcist - meh, took pics and a vid, but nothing different appearance wise apart from that ugly stripe down the side (They had the area roped off). The folks at the booth didn't feel like talking, just on their phones. :shrug:

However, a silver ZL1 vert was there as well...BEAUTIFUL CAR!

I saw that too but it appeared in the video that he really didn't stay in it after his 5-6 change. He also had quite a pause between that gear change and lost almost 10mph. Seemed like he ran out of room more than anything.

Exorcist is a way better name: Exorcist is a person who is believed to be able to cast out the devil or other demons. A priest, a nun, a monk, a healer, a shaman, or other specially prepared or instructed person (Exorcist Camaro Drivers) can be an Exorcist.
