Krypton Green ZL1's official $395 surcharge color. Why are the "good" colors always more money? (Rhetorical question). I guess they know there are folks like me out here who will pay whatever it takes to get what they want. Within limits. I paid $995 for Laguna Blue Metallic on my C7 Z06, whereas I paid $395 for Hyper Blue Metallic on the Gen6 ZL1 Camaro. The ZL1 is just slightly darker but I think they will look just fine beside each other in the garage. Why $600 difference in price though? The Corvette Tax, gas guzzler tax, performance car insurance surcharge. I still love these cars. Here is a link of the Krypton:

Strangely for all the supposed interest in this color I dont know of a single forum member that ordered it. No TPWs and not only is the cost unavailable on GMs website but the color was yanked off the build option after just 2 days. Is this a unicorn?

With a little research it looks like there may be two Krypton Green orders from members. 2SSRS@GEN5DIY and TiffBiff unless they changed their orders. Only one is a vert I believe

Yep, im talking about the build site. The color was there under standard colors with a note saying see dealer for pricing then it disappears. I don't trust other resources as the price could be higher than that for all we know. At this rate half the season will be over by the time delivery rolls around.

I was a green order but the 1LE reveal changed my mind. I'm ordering the first 2018 that I can if green is still available I will be ordering it , but I think it's a 17 only color.

Amazing. I tried a tablet and my home computer. Neither shows the option.

I can see GM offering the Krypton in the 2018 model year, though maybe not the whole model year.
Reason, there is not enough time to run it for what is left of the 2017 production cycle. 2017 order books close in 45 days or less.
