Really? I get them a few times every day. It's not misinformation. There are a few brand of vehicles that set this thin off every time.

Same. Think about it. The same V1 design has been around, what, like 15 yrs? I don't need all this tech stuff. Just go off when needed and show me from where. It's worked without fail for me. Plus, at night, I can turn volume down and actually SEE from where the radar is coming from. Never gotten a ticket in the past 10 years and I have a heavy foot. Like, avg 14 mpg in my Z06 heavy foot. haha.

I commute at least two times a day in the city and have never had this issue. Are you on the latest firmware? I'm just really cautious about "independent" reviews. Anyone with 20 minutes can make a Youtube channel, wordpress account and become a reviewer. Prime example is the guy who was testing the radar detectors side by side in the window. Depending on the detectors you test it can cause problems with the results.

I live in California, and frankly, the CHP is generally very lazy about speeding enforcement, because they don't NEED to be sneaky. There are 38 million people here, and if they drive 80 down the freeway, eventually some clueless moron will literally pass them before they notice them. They literally drive around all day with their Ka sets on, and you can detect the signal a mile or more before you ever set eyes on the cruiser. In the desert or wide open spaces, I have detected signal from 6-8 miles away. That's a LOT of time to back off and avoid stepping in something. And while I have seen them sitting perpendicular to the highway using LIDAR, it's infrequent enough as to barely warrant a mention. The CHP near the big cities are usually too busy taking care of other business to sit idle on the side of the highway and do targeted enforcement. And no one uses K-band in this state anymore. So I have locked out K and X band completely. If I get an alert, it's legit. |

The Bell Magnum and Escort Redline are the two with the best range but they give you the most false positives, even after being segmented. Honestly, with the latest generation of the flagship units from the big companies, you don't really need them anymore. My Magnum collects dust now because it drives me insane. I just run the Max360. For laser it's ALP...I rank it up there in my top 3 mods that I've purchased for the car. Brilliant design and performance, not to mention it only takes one save for it to pay for itself and then some!

I also get false positive lasers every once in awhile with my 360. There's one area in columbus by our airport, i'm not sure what they are called but they are like a spinning radar thing, it makes my radar go off. I'm not sure if that is a false positive though, more an unfortunate effect of the thing facing my direction some times.

There are segments of each band that are transmitted by radar guns that may overlap with other equipment. Usual those put out by cars automatic braking systems get filtered out but somethings like that may be unavoidable.
