Red Seat Belt Question
In the "build it" section of GM's site if you change your order from say Silver Ice to Arctic Blue a dialogue box appears saying you have to Delete red seat belts.
However, if you start your build as Arctic Blue it allows you to choose red seat belts with no rejections AND they appear in the Summary! So, it is giving mixed messages. It would be nice to get red belts on any ZL1 if desired. Anyone know why the "build it" site does this and definitely knows if you can override the system to allow red belts? Also, what might the cost be to get red belts installed after delivery. I think this is the proper thread to pose this question because an order for Arctic Blue that allows for the red belt selection might get rejected ? Last edited by htron50; 01-01-2017 at 12:41 AM. Reason: Arctic Silver = Arctic Blue. LOL |

I like the twist on color names. I think Artic Silver might be a better name for Artic Blue. Could even go with Blue Ice.
As for the site, I have no idea. Preproduction cars in Artic Blue had the red seat belts, so why would they not allow that combo on the production model? I agree. Red seat belts should be available on any color car. They go with the rest of the interior that has red in it, so why limit them to certain colors they feel go with red the best. I mean, there is a blue Grand Sport Vette that gets a red stripe directly on the blue fender, yet we can't get red seat belts in a blue Camaro? An even better one is Garnet Red not coming with red belts. I don't get it.

1) Respect & Be Helpful — By far, the most important rule here. Generations of GM enthusiasts have come together through a shared passion for the car and the community, so the golden rule applies: Treat others as you wish to be treated. This means no foul language, insults, or rude remarks towards other members. We’re here as a family of enthusiasts, and we should act accordingly. And since the site is constantly gaining new members, please go out of your way to help answer others’ questions in an effort to make this an even better community. Shunning new members’ questions or rudely telling others to “search for it” is extremely discouraged. This was a great question and a great thread. Perfect time for it as well. Don't ever hesitate to ask. It always ends up helping others as well. |

Like mlee said, ask away. It's not always easy to search and find what you're looking for. You'll have 100s of threads pop up and may go through 20 or 30 of them to find what you're after. Been there, done that. Much easier to just ask the question.

...and could not duplicate what you described. No combination would allow the red seat belts in the Arctic Blue color. I kind of think it would look good with that color. Especially with the red stitching and all.. |

Is GMaccepting employee discounts on the ZL1 verts? My salesman said no. But the GM site allows look ups with discount. On the ZO6 the site said no discounts.
