would 2 cans of torco also work for the 100 octane?? instead of race gas
also is that the way your cams are set up to make most of the torque at low to mid RPMs.. would a 22.5% pulley be close to the 28% on 100 octane and make less heat? Last edited by fluxzl1; 09-26-2016 at 05:51 PM. |

This is almost exactly what I have from JRE. I am not using cats and have the stock throttle body.
Anything learned from the tune that could change my tune?

You will need 2 tunes to take advantage of the octane.

We also really never know what the pump fuel octane is because of age and if 87 was mixed in at the station, Yes It happens. So it is always best to purchase 100 octane in cans or purchase it at a gas station that carries it. The speed we turn the blower determines How many lbs. of air per minute the blower moves, for example 1 lb. of air per minute makes 10 HP. We are sqeezing every bit of power out of every lb. of air flow so we have to spin the blower faster to make more power. 100 Octane is usually worth about 25-30 RWHP over premium pump fuel with proper tuning. Quote:
I provide a cam card with ever cam I sell, but I respectfully do not post them, I will tell you our cams make more power on less boost than any we have tested. Thank you gentlemen. Ted.

JANNETTY RACING ZL-1 800 PACKAGE COMPLETE 707 RWHP 648 RWTQ
I've spoken you with before on the specs of my car. Bought the car as a trade in from my dealer I work for on Long Island. 2014 zl1 ...
You mentioned I have the 750+ hp package. Curious with seeing these numbers what the next logical step would be. I'm all for gathering parts now and found the work in the warmer months and prefer work to all be done by the same shop to make sure everyone knows what's going n with the car. My head tells me that some port work is is order. Snout, blower, TB and heads. All of which leaves me with questions as to what extent of port work and if it's worth it. Advantages of the NW102 throttle body over the 90mm? Esp if I'm talking about blower porting? Maybe a different direction all together? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

An E-85 conversion would be the first move if you would allow me to make the decisions. We can either talk about it here or you can call me directly whichever you think will be more fun

I have seen variances of 70 RWHP between 93 and E-80. Of course the lower starting HP the less the gain because your starting further from the octane wall. My Pleasure sharing my experience. Ted.
