Drag Radials for 2016 SS

i looked around the forum and could not find anything on what size drag radials fit on the SS. If someone could tell me what size of rim and tire I can fit on with no grinding that would be great!

There is a thread where the OP shows a test fitting of the C5 Z06 rear 18 X 10.5 wheels that fit perfectly. He told me that he used 285 40 18s to test fit and they fit ok, but didn't fill the wheel well very well. He's bought 305 35 18s for his wheels. For me, I believe they'll fit to the degree that I bought a set yesterday and they're due to be delivered on Weds of this week. I bought a set of TSW Nurburgring wheels in 18 X 11.5 wheels built to fit the Corvette Z06 C5s rear. I was told that if the C5 Z06 18s would fit these Nurburgring wheels would also fit...we'll see.

When I bought my Camaro, I had a set of front C5 Z06 wheels with 17 inch drag radials on it, but they had interference from the brake caliper. One Camaro owner ground his calipers down a bit until the 17 inchers fit, but I didn't like that, so I sold my wheels and tires. Here's the link to the 18 inch Z06 wheel thread: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...66#post9191866

Here's the thread where the guy ground down the calipers to make 17s fit: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=443034

Another person bought 315 35 20 tires for his stock wheels and the tires encountered clearance issues. I got that in a PM from him since he didn't say that in the thread.

Beyond those threads, I have heard that C6 Z06 18 inch fronts would fit and most likely the 19 inch rears would bolt on, but I'm not sure of that. I should have my wheels and tires ready to mount by the beginning of next week and I can tell you definitively whether my 18 X 11.5 inch wheels and 305 35 18 Mickey Thompsons fit. Stay tuned in..lol.

Very true...some would say, when you're at the drag strip who cares what it looks like. The question is, would it hook? Great comment Whis.

No cutting and no spacers. Plus I think I could get away with a slightly taller tire as well. I can't remember the brand right now, but I will find out and let you know. The actually fit my camaro better than the corvette. They stuck out of the fender a little on the vette.

Awesome photo! I like how you can see the front end lift in it.

I have C5 ZO6 18x10.5's on the rear of mine. I had them on the rear of my C6 before I sold it. I have 315-40-18's on them and they fit absolutely perfect. Not even a hint of rubbing. I got the pair from Factory Reproductions . About 3/4" taller than stock so my next move will be some Mickey Thompson 305-40-18's. I don't have any pics with them on there, but the fit is perfect. You also lose 11lbs per wheel and tire. The stock wheel/tire is 66lbs. My C5 wheel and Nitto DR weighs in at 55lbs... Hope this helps...

Has anyone tried these: LOZ-028 (18x9.5) with Nitto NT-05R 305/45-18. From a sponsor on here. One member mentioned that the 45 would be too tall? Thinking about getting them and using them on Saturday.
