Android Auto
I hate that Android Auto is only for 2016 models, I am an Android fanboy and I would love to have my googlemaps on my 2013 Camaro, and my Google Now too. Do you think there will be any chance to have the Android auto systems on non 2016 models?
I have not seen anything in the aftermarket world that I like too much, just mirroring systems.... Thanks ! |

I asked him about CarPlay and he said putting it in later myLink models was impossible so considering they are set up the same I doubt you'll be getting Andriod Auto on your non '16 radio.

In a word....NO.
The Gen5 Mylink is done, and there are no plans to update it as far as I have heard. |

I would love for someone to take the MyLinks and put android guts in there and have them work like Pumkin radios do!! Any chance Gen5DIY wouldn't mind "frankenstiening" one together
 ?!? This was an idea I came up with a while ago... Look like a MyLink, work like a Android tablet  !

Is there no nice aftermarket radio units with full heat/fan/seat control yet?
I don't want to jerry rig a shit chinese crap unit in my car. |
