Got my VIN# !!
I received my VIN # from my sales guy today. He could not confirm when the car will arrive, but anticipates next week or week after. Can anyone who has taken delivery provide a rough estimate of how long it took for their car to arrive at the dealer once production was confirmed/VIN # received?
Thanks everyone.. |

From built and receiving VIN to arriving at dealer - 10 days.
It just shows up at the dealer. Dealer gets no notice that a truck is coming. Built monday and at my dealer following Thursday after that storm we had 3 weeks ago.....might have been a day earlier

Two weeks for me.
Turns out that dealer or GM doesn't have the means to know where the car is during transit or delivery once it leaves the factory. Found this a bit strange or maybe they use third party company to deliver. In addition, my order number got deleted from the system once it left the factory so nobody couldn't look it up. Also there are some differences in the Canadian and US ordering system as I had also contact GM in the US. |

It all depends on how quickly they get the car on a truck and clear customs, and get picked up on this side of the border. It might be agony waiting but maybe the weather will be better when it arrives.

The workbench shows all the dates and status codes of the build.
Specifically when your car was built. Kind of a history of your car.

Get a hold of the dealership and tell them NOT TO THROW OUT any of the paperwork that arrived with the car. You'll have build sheets in there, and even the one that shows the actual production date.
