MPG Pic

Thanks guys! I will get some interior pics tomorrow in the sun. I just completed a 350 mile drive and have some MPG info from the computer that I will attach for all to see.

Still working on the break in of 1500 miles so haven't romped on it yet...soon...very soon.

EMS, congratulations on your new car. As the owner of a 2012 ZL1 I would love to hear your opinions and observations between your 2013 ZL1 and your new SS. Were you able to get an even trade your ZL1 for the SS?

My trade in for the 2013 ZL1 was $36,000. I owed $40,000 so not too bad.

As far as a comparison, Its very hard to compare to that ZL1. That being said, I love the tech in the 2016. Apple car play works great and voice text works very well. The 2016 has a lot of power but nothing like the supercharged ZL1 but it is very responsive and grippy (if that's a word). The color HUD is much nicer than the monocolor blue/green and everything about the car is cheaper than the ZL1. Tires, Brakes, etc.

Im still putting premium gas in it but now that gas prices are low, it isn't that bad.

I love the 2016 but I cant forget that ZL1.

I'm surprised to hear that everything is cheaper in this car vs. the ZL1. Tires I understand (because run flats), but you have the option for 6 piston Brembos. I was looking at the performance numbers online for the ZL1 vs. the SS and they seem very close (identical on some sites). I've never driven a ZL1 however. Is it that the ZL1 just feels faster or has torque distributed differently?

Also, I really like that color combo you chose. I believe I saw your car on autotrader for anyone who wants photos of the color combo...you might get lucky and still find them there. I'm starting to think that the garnet red might be the most photogenic Camaro. Very classy and bad ass at the same time.

Lookin' good! Can we get some pictures of the car with the door open? I'd like to see the kalahari against the garnet red.

Thanks EMS, I appreciate your opinions. Although reports say the SS is almost as fast as a ZL1 only ZL1 owners with the new SS can give real seat of the pants feelings. Sounds like I will keep my Z for a while. Best of luck with your new ride.

Kalahari interior

OK ya'll...

its a cold snowy rainy day here in west Texas but I went out and got some interior pics with the red garnet.

I think the Kalahari knee pads would go a lot better...next upgrade for sure.
