With so many of them cracking for no obvious reason, I wonder how long a new one will last. It'd be nice if we could get a new one through the warranty and be able to keep the cracked one on, but I know from experience they want the old part. I'd like to have a new one and keep it new for the future. It certainly doesn't look like the cracks are going to cause anything to happen. Hell, none of us would even know if Dan wouldn't have looked...way to go Dan.

The defective piece supposedly gets shipped back to GM. Otherwise it would just disappear from the dealership, or get sold at a discount!

From looking at the cracks on mine, it certainly appears that they have the potential to spread to the front of the splitter and on up where they would be visible without crawling under the car.
I'm hoping more people chime in on this. Anybody with a 2014 have this?

My '15 #516 does not have the cracks. Maybe we can track it down to certain production numbers for a bad batch from the supplier.

Hopefully the Moreno brothers can come up with a fix for this. I think they already do have a replacement.

Went to Radley Cadillac today to have the cracked splitter looked at.
No questions asked. The part is on order and they'll install it as a warranty item. May be next week before the part comes in, but it's on GM, not me.

Confirmed, I have them on passenger side and just starting on drivers side. I have 180 miles on my car, it had 7 on it when I took delivery. This car has not even seen a speed bump much less a curb. Zero scrapes!

UPDATE:
I stopped by the dealer today to check the status of the splitter delivery. It (the part) is in the system and was ordered on 11-6-15. The guy told me it could be up to 10 more days before it comes in. They fill orders in the order received, so if you are on the fence about going to the dealer, I wouldn't wait. It will not go to the body shop to be installed. They'll just do it in the service bay. And no. I can't have the old part. GM wants it back for examination they say. Another Z/28 first world problem...
