I've never felt an actual ZL1 splitter, but this splitter is unpainted plastic just like the ZL1, has a rough feel to it. Not smooth.

He paid the difference that insurance would have paid for the stock front bumper, which was a meer $10.95.

price difference
State Farm pays retail for parts in Missouri. Dealership gave me full retail credit on the regular bumper, hood etc, Parts department gave me 10% discount since I used 100% GM parts, hence good deal. I did use aftermarket hood extractor $399 when I got it home, vs GM extractor $3K.
