Hi there,

Can someone please show me a clear instruction of how to disconnect negative battery cable on my 2011 Camaro 2LT? I tried to look for it but it wasn't clear for me. The reason why I want to know is because I will have my CAI intake to my door this upcoming Wednesday and I'm trying to avoid CEL

Open the trunk, lift out the spare tire cover and use a 10mm wrench to loosen the cable. Done.

Open trunk, remove floor pan by lifting, remove cable on the - side of the battery. DONT CLOSE THE TRUNK. I would also recommend putting at least the driver side window down.

Really though, I don't know why you would need to disconnect the battery to install a cold air intake.

you will only get a cel if you start it with the maf disconnected.
disconnecting the battery will reset your ltft; not sure that's worth the effort.
it may help you start closer to your final learned trims, it might hurt you. either way, no big deal.

When you take apart the stock air box and tube, do not disconnect the wire harness from the MAF sensor. There are two small torx head screws holding it in, just take them out and leave the MAF sensor connected to the wire. You don't have to worry about disconnecting the battery unless you get a CEL after the new CAI in installed and you've driven it. You shouldn't get a CEL though.
