New motor will be here in a week. All is good.

Only bad thing is the old motor has to go back. So they are checking to see if they can reuse the serial number so it matches the chassis.

So #918 Radio/AC Delete AGM has been bastardized...oh well my beneficiary can worry about that. Hands down this is the best street car I have ever driven.

Doesn't this make GM seem a little pathetic? Performance engines that crap out so easily? Are ford and dodge doing this?

Porsche motors need to be replaced, Ferraris burn to the ground.......the list goes on and on. Looks like all manufactures are "pathetic" in your eyes. Which really need to open up if you call yourself an enthusiast as failures are not uncommon in high performance vehicles.

Update: Motor is in transit.

I picked up the car yesterday so it will not be tying up one of their stalls. When the Motor gets here I'll drop the car off and they have it wrapped up in a couple of days.

Show me a manufacture's dealership that only has a quick lube in the back and not a shop. They all have their issues.

The difference is how they handle them. I give GM an A+ for customer service. All the way from the guys in the clean up bay that oh so carefully helped get my car in the trailer to the guys tracking the shipment right to the factory getting this handled in short order.

As the old saying goes "if has tits or tires it will give you a headache".

Seriously?? Your trolling aren't you?

I have lost more than a few high dollar racing engines on the first run. Engine builders fault... who knows, maybe it was a faulty part that I wanted in the engine. Sometimes it was the racing gods just telling me to go home, today was not your day.

Life goes on!

4 FN 27, sucks to be going through this. My stock LS3 crapped out on me and the reason is still a mystery. GM put a new one in and called it a day. That's awesome how much communication your dealer is providing you.

I'm not saying this caused it but OP wrote on here he revved it to 6800 548 miles short of break in...good thing GM is covering it.

True, but there is no way that should have caused the engine to eat it's self.
