ARE USED ZL1'S SELLING GOOD?

I am just wondering are used ZL1's selling now? I read this board alot each day and I know there are a few who have bought used but it seems like there are not as many as before. Do you think the ones who might be thinking about buying one are holding out to see what GM is going to do about offering a gen 6 ZL1 or what? Or does the economy suck now? Where I live our state depends alot on the oil and gas companies to be going and since gas has dropped they have laid off people like crazy. I know guys who were working and were buying razors, trucks, cars and fifth wheel campers etc and now the finance companies are picking them up because these guys lost their jobs. So I know other parts of the country are not like this area so is money just tight everywhere?

I've been looking around and see a lot for sale in the 40-45 range but not a lot sold. You can find new 13s for under 50 and new 15s for 52. I think for the current price difference people will just buy new.

Money is as as good as it has been in 8 years, and interest rates will edge up October to prove that point. Jobless rates are equal to May of 2008 at 5.5% compared to the 14 year low of 3.9% in Sept of 2000, compared to 10% in Oct 2009. Unfortunately just like rain, everybody doesn't get it when they need it most..

Those numbers are a bit off but that is a different subject.

Used ZL1's are selling fast if the price is right.

Well what price is good for a 13 model with 3900 miles, auto trans,no moonroof and no nav? I have seen 41k to 49k so is that about right?

I just purchased a nice 2013 ZL1 for $42,000 even with 8,600 miles.
It's awesome, as I was about to purchase a brand new build for probably $60k
Now I have extra money for the MODS!

I think (I know options are like A$$holes) the new gen 6 Camaro has an immediate effect on current prices but it will not last long. It will be a 2-3 years at least before the gen 6 gets anywhere near 580 hp, if it does at all. The Gen 5, ZL1 is history and those who are fortunate enough to own one know what I mean.

Lets hope the gen 6 does indeed have a ZL1 and one with more horsepower.

The numbers are from the Department of Labor http://data.bls.gov/pdq/SurveyOutputServlet

Now could they fudge the numbers, sure, but those are still the numbers..

Also consider labor force participation and the picture doesn't look as good

You know you are right about this and I almost bought one instead of the ZL1 I have, It is ashamed that they do sell better when a ZL1 is a better car I think. I have always been a diehard chevy fan no matter what but that damn mustang just always seems to bring more money faster than the camaro in a shorter amount of time. I think the stang is a good looking car but that is about it. I guess it appeals to more buyers than the camaro does?

90 Million out of workforce....

Fully UNreported and those who have fully dropped out are NOT included in the "published" rate of 5.5%. Even higher depending on the demographics... So the 5.5 is just a mirage and a smokescreen for what is really happening across the country.

I believe there are enough buyers for your ZL1. It's just a matter of exposure.
