Honestly, I'd wait a few months and then get it fixed. It's inevitable that more are going to happen. PDR is usually charged by the panel so you'll get the most bang for your buck doing a few at once. Should run you about 100-150 and takes less than 10 minutes. Don't paint the whole side of the car cause of a tiny dent, if it'll be driven other things are sure to happen along the way!

BTW, many PDR guys will come to your driveway and do it there. Most body shops end up calling those guys in once a week to do some repairs too so it might be better to just cut out the middle man!

To fix a ding on the door, do they take the interior door panels off?

I've never seen one of these guys at work.

I have a ding on the same line, but it went through the paint. I got a quote, and they wanted to strip the whole door, repaint, redo my pin stripe...it was just so much being done, and I was concerned about the quality of the respray...I bought some paint, a dent remover, and I plan on attempting to repair it myself.

A good PDR guy will be able to take it of that for you. Its an art. Just do some research and get the right guy, it will be like it never happened.

I asked the Chevy Dealer for a PDR guy and they recommended this PDR guy and the guy did a great Job and gave me a Dealer discount. He repaired the ding for $75.00.

Good Luck, Beside be Leery about Wally World parking lots, most people don't care for our Nice Rides and will purposefully ding our cars by parking close to us.

Yea but Wally world prices are so good! I try and park all the way in the back where no one else would park but I swear its like a magnet they just want to park next to you for some reason, the dealership I went to their body shop the week I had it for a delivery paint chip issue and asked about the dent and it was the service writer who told me PDR is likely not the answer, but honestly like I said I cant trust anyone around here, I am not saying I know everything but I do know bullshit when I see it , you cant bullshit a bullshitter you know.

I'm anal enough over my car that it won't be parked at a Wally World. PDR like everyone said, but as soon as one repaired there will be another.

The PDR guy that's who. Had the same door ding, guy came to my house and fixed it on the spot for $60 cash. And it is absolutely invisible.
So, $1100 and your car in the shop for a week or $60 and 10 minutes?

Nope. The tools just press on it. I thought I'd make his life easier by taking the door panel off, did not need to. But, I could see there was zero damage to the inner coating.

I'm a PDR Tech...I don't know how severe your damage is, but I wouldn't attempt it. Lots of customers that do end up cracking paint, and making the dent look worse then what it was when done, which makes it harder for pdr tech to correct the dent.

Could I see what kind of "dent remover" you bought?
