Everyone going should bring a banana for mlee with NEC5 written on the skin. Anyways i'm not sure how many of us have gone thru PA or WV on road trips not really my thing but majority rules going the Akron, OH route and down to Bowling Green. KY adds about 20 extra miles to our trip which is nothing at that point either way there's a few options to go all of them are within 20mi length from each other. Thinking we'll figure out a meet-up spot in Southwestern New England somewhere.

Corvette plant tour at Camarofest

Just a heads up
The Corvette plant runs tours of the factory
They run like 3 or 4 a day
reservation are nor required, but since there are goona be a ton of camaro people there at that time , I would expect it to be sold out (just my guess)

But they DO take reservation if you want to assure yourself a spot on the tour.
the tour is $7
note they have a strict policy: no cameras,no cell phone, no bags,no purses,no backpacks,no walkie talkies, and you must wear closed toe shoes

here is a link to make a reservation, must pick day and time

99% sure I'm going. Will probably be staying at the Townplace Suites so in order to use points.

Any idea on when the camarovan would be leaving? would it be early on the 5th? I'm just looking to see how long I should book for.

Thanks!

Hello Guys. I am just putting this out there. Those of us here in the Mid-Atlantic states are planning a Camarovan to BG,KY also. I know it is still early, but with this great internet and C5 forum at our fingertips we can create on heck of a Camarovan from the Northeast to BG, via the east coast. If we keep checking each others plans maybe if everything works out we could make this happen. If not by the end of that weekend we could all roll together on the way home.

Hows this for a proposal, (I know happydan doesn't like 81, I don't know why?? I've taken that route going to Fl many times and have never found heavy traffic) We then could meet up with the group from Maryland on 81 or where 81 meets 70. from there we hook up with 64w to KY.

I've gone to both Valdosta Ga and Indy with the Mid-Atlantic group. Met up in Fredericksburg Va.
Two great caravans with dozens of Camaros both times.
I hope to do that again if I can. I-84 and then I-95 through Washington DC to Fredericksburg.

You would rather go I-95 than I-81?? I-95 can be brutal.

I do like 81 better but for me the best part of the camaro5fests are the caravans.
I could never get the N.E. group to go to any of them or even the factory tour.
On the trip to the Canada plant I met up with the Pa Camaro5 group on I-81 near
Syracuse.... That was really a great caravan. No one here really seemed interested.

As we get closer I am sure we will all get together. If you all agree with RT 81 you might meet up with the SCPA5 Group and than with us in the Mid-Atlantic group. With that being said there are no definite agreed route plans with anyone yet. NO one seems to have any final plans because it is still too early and everyone maybe wandering what everyone else is doing. I am just trying to keep an eye on all the regional threads along the I95 corridor and try to leave info on their potential plans with everyone else . Check with the other regional threads related to the fest and just make a note what your potential plans are from this region

Like I've said before. The N.E. group poops out every year. It's best to go it
alone and meet up with the Va or Pa groups. You will not be sorry as the
caravans are among the best part of the fests imo.

Hey guys. Check out the other regions just south of you. See what their plans are. Than check to see if you can meet up with any of them on your way down. My group is leaving very early on Thursday August 6th. We hope to be in Frederick MD around 5am? We hope to meet up with the guys from PA. Hopefully that will work out. I am thinking anyone from this area will want to leave tuesday or wedsnesday. There is also a group leaving the Maryland area on Wednesday morning too. Hope that helps.
