RX Catch Can empty

So I need to empty my cc for the first time soon but am bothered by how difficult it is to empty as you have to turn the hose along with the swivel. Am i doing this wrong or is it really just that annoying.

Yeah I really disliked our RX can for draining on our V6 and even after you finally got the valve open it still wouldn't drain good at all, got an elite g2 can for the 1LE and it is 100% better to drain just unscrew the bottom, drain and reinstall about a 2min deal.

Pain in the a** to drain. Could have have put something other than a sharp wingnut on it!

Only consolation for me is that it usually doesn't have much oil in it when I drain it. Just a small amount.

I always had to pressurize the can with the drain open to get anything out otherwise it would just barely drip out.

Had to do the same thing on my V6 with the RX CC.

Ya'll must have a different valve. Mine is so easy, just attach the drain hose and then turn the valve, and the crap pours out!

I just installed my new RX catch can. It has an updated ball valve and hose on it. Closed is at 90 degrees horizontal and open is at 90 degrees vertical. Its easy to see and easy to get at, opens and closes like butter. I'll take some pics and put them on here tomorrow.

Don't mean to derail, but I bought my RX Catch a couple of weeks ago and it's awaiting install.

There's plenty of V6 Catch can installations, but I couldn't find anything specifically on the RX Catch Can for the SS.

Is this a straight forward install? The instructions are pretty vague.
