Been there done that. After lurking on this site for almost 2 years i had finally made up my mind to purchase a 1LE with at a minimum the NPP and RS options, BGM would have been the ideal color. While searching for my new car i came across a 2012 GM Certified Black ZL1, 3050 miles. Test drove it and took it home that day. Test drove an SS the week before but not a 1LE model. I'm a happy camper. ZL1 all the way.
Now if it was only BGM.... |

While I've already voted for the ZL1, especially considering our OP is in CA and cannot legally install LTs on an LS3, I will say, I am deeply in love with my NA, bolt-on modified, 424/419 RWHP vert. This thing is a dream car for me. I am not a fan of whining FI and I find that there are very few times and places where I can truly use the power I have now.

Go ZL1 ... It's not just about the power, it's about the package and the balance of the car itself.

Well im kinda going both ways with this. Id prefer the new 2SS. Thats what i did. A car like this, I want to know exactly how this car was driven. A used ZL1, now clue how the person before you drove it, and id put a months pay on it that they drove it hard and hated getting 12mpg which is why they traded it in. my GMC Sierra Z71 is the last viehical i bought used, but thats no 426hp beast. so DD...2SS. Garage king and weekend showoff....ZL1
