The older 2.3.4 units had that and it could not be changed. The newer 4.0 units and the upgrade from 2.3.4 to 4.0 removes it completely

I emailed Lim about this. He stated that the unit is set to celsius and can not be changed. When the temperature knob is moved, the temperature is displayed in celsius. (This can be seen in one of the videos on this thread. I forgot who posted it)

I can confirm that my original unit(with fitment issues and all) running 4.0.3 uses the radios internal microphone for phone calls.

Curious, shipped with 4.0.3 or 2.3.4?

It originally shipped with 2.3.4 and the previous owner tried to update and left the radio without an OS. I sent the "android board" back for repair and shipped back with 4.0.3.
Hope this helps.

Hmm thanks. Microphone is hardware, so unless they did something with the software/kernal on the board I wonder why mine has never worked. Well it does, it just isn't worth a darn.

Thanks for the reply though

Everything I've read from Lim and on this forum indicated that the unit has not had an internal microphone, but instead used the cell phone's microphone for calls.

The radio has a "hole" where the microphone goes. At least mine does. I tested out which microphone was being used my calling my brother and leaving my phone outside of the car on my hood. He claimed to hear me perfectly clear and I even tapped on the microphone on the radio and my brother says he heard it.

If anyone wants to do any different tests with me or want specific info on my radio feel free to ask.

How new is your unit? That's interesting. Perhaps the language barrier caused me to misunderstand Lim. How is the sound quality of the microphone?

I dont know how new the unit is. Only thing I know is that it shipped with 2.3.4. Sound quality is great. I have spoke to several people and they don't notice a difference.
Here is a picture of the microphone

That certainly looks like a microphone.

I was under the impression that they all had this microphone. Guess not. But now we know that all the newer ones have this microphone.
