From what I remember, somone stated that the OS is rooted. (That's the equivalent of jailbreaking an iPhone) If so, any rom can be flashed with the newest version of android. However, it seems this unit has a special OS. (The fact that the AC controls show on the screen and the radio interface, backup camera, etc.) If one were to flash a new rom that isn't supplied by Lim, a lot of car features would most likely be lost. You would simply have a fancy smarthphone embedded in your dash.
(I have experience rooting android and flashing roms)

Side Note: developers who are savvy with android can take the current OS in its entirety, and possibly change the android version. As with any major OS change, there is a big possibility that this would cause many bugs.

Yea now that I think ab it, it makes sense...I guess that for now all that that you can do is wait on software updates from the developer..

I am curious how it's going as well. I emailed Lim who stated that Bluetooth is working and that the unit has a mic included now. Anyone else get that info as well?

WOW! Mic included? I might actually buy one now.

The website now days that you can buy it with up to 32Gb RAM.

Curious to see if the previous issues were fixed with the fitment. A plus with increased memory and microphone. Recently I emailed with Lim about losing an app when I upgraded. He sent me the APK for it, but it doesnt work. Hasn't responded since either.

I noticed on some pictures and videos the temperature was in Celsius. Can that be changed to Fahrenheit?
