car seat on leather

i apologize if this is in the wrong section, but i have a question for those of you with leather seats and kids. how do you prevent the seat from stretching the leather or leaving marks on the seat. I don't have kids, but i had my baby brother with me a few days ago and when i removed the car seat you could see some marks on the seat.

I fold up a large towel and place it under the car seat.

I don't believe the back seats are really leather... However, when taking the grandkids for a ride, I put a towel down under the carseat to prevent it from damaging the vinyl - or whatever it is.

This. I believe the only leather is the inserts in the front seats.

I fold up a blanket. I have a booster-seat in the back almost full-time for my daughter. No issues after 4 years.

I see issues in the seat back. Even putting a towel behind the car seat leaves a few marks. I just take it out when not using. After some time (sun) the marks go away

Or make them grow up faster and move to a booster they do less damage

You can see the towel in the car seat with my daughter on top

based on the pictures Ryan posted my brother has a booster seat lol. Ill probably order one of those seat protector things and use a towel while i wait. I don't really drive with my brother in my car much, but it will be nice to have just in case.

Been using this specific protector on all our cars since my son was born (now 7 years) and they've continued on with our new one (8 months) now.

http://www.target.com/p/black-two-st...668aAusv8P8HAQ

They are 2 part as well, so if you get to a point where you don't need the seatback protector it simply detaches. Its a thicker material thats molded as well so it keeps (some) spills and crumbs contained if the kids make a mess (which they will)

The back is a soft, textured, foam material that grips well and doesn't harm the seats at all.

Same one I've been using for three years for my granddaughter in my Tahoe.
