pete...I am not usually one for extended warranties, but I did get the tire and wheel protection when I bought my ZL1 and the price is very much a "haggle" item.

Splash guards and painted rocker skirts? Where did you get them?

I would do a whole "protection/use" package, the right way:

Lloyds ultimats - choose your logo..
Lloyds rear deck mat - choose your logo
rear deck partition (exoticvette.com)
tire and wheel insurance
100 worth of good detailing products to protect wheels & paint
GM splash guards
Aires Seat defenders for seats...

Mine was for 5 years and 70K miles, wheels, flat, tire, towing and hotel, when they can’t find a tire for your car. It's also pro-rated so if you trade the car before the end of 5 years, you can get some of your money back. I also went with the splash guards and painted side rocker skirts. Really need the removal tools, no matter where you get them. I also went with a set of race ramps, very useful for this car and also any car or light truck you may have. I know many people don’t like them (bra’s) but I went for a speed Lingerie bra as it look like it will really protect the car on long highway trips (I do 2,000 miles every few months) and I can’t find a proven guy in NJ close to do a Xpel. Go with the Weather Tech mat at least for the hatch area.

Jim
I wish I had known this before I opted in. Kinda feel like an idiot now. Having already replaced 2 I guess I'm still not doing to bad though.

Where is the splash guards arctic white-looked on the site, they have both a black one which is cheaper and the one that matches the car? Doesn't the car come with them, what is the benefit of the guards?

The splash guards replace the black plastic panels at the rear of each wheel opening. The factory pieces are flush with the outside of the fenders, the splash guards taper out to about 1" past the fenders. They can reduce the amount of rocks and road crud kicked up against the sides of the car by a fair bit. I have the unpainted ones on my CGM coupe, which blends in nicely. The white ones would be the color matched ones on RPI's website. Just click the box and scroll down to select your color of choice. Carbon Flash would be good, as would white, with your color combo. Yes, the painted ones are more $$, due to the extra labor & material involved with the painting process.

I can't tell how many guards does it come with?

It should be in pairs: fronts and rears.

Unless they hang down lower than the front fenders and the rear quarters, they are absolutely worthless.

I have GMs aftermarket splash guards on the front and rear of my C7 and my rear quarter panels look like a war zone in just over 600 miles.

I ordered the RPI's ZR7 Stage II Side Splitters, http://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=3280, so that should help protect the whole side of the car.

As far as a personalized plate drawing attention to your car, the C7 sticks out like a turd in the punch bowl no matter what you do so knock yourself out.

A very popular accessory for our corvette stingray customers has been the painted engine dress up kit

How do you buy a warranty for tires you didn't buy there?

They will happily sell you a tire warranty on a new car. I was there yesterday for a balance/ rotation on my DD. The tires on the Vette demand a higher premium ....I was quoted $210 which is backed up by looking at their website.
