If you want navigation, I highly recommend the Garmin nuvi 2797.

Well I guess I am one of the few that have a Pre-Order 2010 Camaro 2LT/RS and from the start I disliked the Infotainment (Radio) System that was in the Camaro. One of my other cars is a 2005 Dodge Magnum that has a in dash navigation System and I have really liked it. Then on my Camaro I had to use the OnStar piece of crap Turn-by-Turn Navigation that REALLY Sucks. I did not want to trade up and loose my Pre-Order Camaro that I had waited 9 months to get. So I have been doing Mods to make My Camaro My Own. I was one of the first persons to do the HUD Retrofit, and if you look at the bottom of my post you can see the other Mods I have done to my car. So installing the MyLink Retrofit was for me a given. Since doing the Install/Retrofit I have LOVED IT, also anyone who has seen it in my car has also liked it. So, YES it is WORTH IT.

I too have the Garmin navi, got mounted in a spot where it looks like it was built into the car(just left of the speedo/tach gauges right near line of sight)

I really like having a stand alone navi....it frees up the MyLink for other things.

Things like speed/tach/navigater should as close to the line of sight as you can get them, IMO it is a lot safer for driving.....u dont have to keep glancing down that way

With being said, I really like the MyLink, I really like how it automatically connects up to the Pandora on my phone

I have the Mylink with Nav in my 2014. Love it!! Not one bit of trouble with it, ever!! The Nav is very easy to use and everything comes through the HUD also like song changes and turn by turn directions. Its totally awesome!

Having been in a Camaro with Mylink and reviewing all features of MyLink, it's definitely worth the upgrade price to install it.

I had the upgrade done in March and I really, really love it. Doesn't your 2012 have Bluetooth????? Not sure why you need the USB unless you have your favorite music on a storage device. I streamed Via Bluetooth on my OE 2011 radio with no problems at all.

So let me ask a Navigation question for all of you who have made the upgrade or had it come stock....how satisfied are you with the Navigation itself? My wife has a Avalanche LTZ with built in Nav and it's a pain! You can't put in a destination with the vehicle moving first off! Then how often and expensive is it to update the maps?? I have the Garmen NUVI in my camaro and I can just tell it where I want to go and it does it! All voice commands! Is the MYLink NAV voice controlled as well?? Seriously considering this for my 2012, but unsure if I want to go with the NAV or not????

I did the Gen5DIY MyLink upgrade and I enjoy it, one of the best upgrades for me second to cam, heads and headers.

I Love the MyLink with Navigation. It sure beats the hell out of the CRAPPY OnStar Turn-by Turn navigation that in my opinion SUCKED BIG TIME. I also have a 2005 Dodge Magnum that came with the in dash navigation system and it is better then the OnStar joke of a navigation system.

Worth every penny but mine was cheaper than most. Luck of the salvage yard picking.

2014 MyLink in 2011.

Worth it for Nav, USB, Bluetooth, as I had none of these before. No need to buy PDIM as it's integrated into the head unit.

Love it for texts alone

Overall it looks good too
