Where do you guys get your helmets

Went to the track the for the first time and the inspector did not like my beat up MX helmet . He let me race but suggested I get a new one for next time. I have no idea who sells auto helmets

If you google "Snell SA2010 helmets", you'll get all kinds of hits.

It may be a hike for you, but if you want to go to a store and try on helmets, this place came up as a Bell Racing Helmet dealer in Salt Lake City.

I got mine from Simpson...

Keep in mind motorcycle helmets are not good for auto racing and vice versa... Motorcycle helmets have higher abrasion resistance.... Road rash....

Auto helmets are more resistant to fire... as in stuck in the car while it's burning...

Motorcycle helmets will shrivel up around the head if exposed to fire for any length of time relative to a car helmet...

I bought a matte black ZAMP helmet through AMAZON. I like it just fine. Good reviews, reasonable price.

Motorcycle rated helmets are rated for single impact, auto helmets are rated for multiple impacts. Most car track events will not allow motorcycle rated helmets. Auto rated helmets are not fire resistant to my knowledge. I'm sure the more you spend it is more likely, cheaper to use a balaclava that is and can be washed.

Pretty sure Auto helmets are fire resistant thats what the SA2010 rating and stuff is for and that is why you cannot use kart or motorcycle helmets in auto racing.

Bell makes great helmets and are priced well. I have used them for a while now and love them. Plus you can get some that are prepainted as well.

I wouldn't order a helmet online without test fitting one first. Last thing you want it an uncomfortable/poor fitting helmet.
