the 1LE is closer in performance to a ZL1 than you'd think.

Lol it was a joke, I think every SS owner would get a ZL1 if possible...

Its the standard evolution, I had a V6 and traded to a V8, wish I got a 1LE but if I had a 1LE I would still want a ZL1.

I'm with ya....What p'd me off was that I could get an automatic in the ZL1 but not the 1LE as that option is only offered on the LS3 manual and not the L99 auto....just like the NPP exhaust.

Its all personal preference. Both cars are amazing in their own rite. If you can afford either one . most would say get the ZL1. I myself wanted the 1LE and I bought it. I can afford a Z if that's what I wanted but it wasn't. It really just depends on what you desire in a car. There is no wrong answer here ... Good luck in your decision and either way you will be happy I hope.

If I was purchasing a new car it would be a ZL1, because I would only get half a refresh.

I am very bias to the ZL1 front

My problem I have with the zl1 is the weight and the mag shocks I just like being able to adjust them for the way I want the car to feel. I don't know of any heat soak issues but with a supercharger sometimes it happensEveryone is different

Okay, so I really, really, really wanted to order a '10 SS just the way I wanted it. But things didn't work out. I know I would have loved that car as much as any car I would have ever owned.

But when it came time for me to be able to buy, I was in position to get a ZL1. I really, loooovvvve this car. But, I know had I gotten the SS instead without having driven the ZL1, I would have looovvvved the SS just as much, I really know this in my heart.

That being state, take it from Ferris Bueller about the ZL1:

I had a 2010 Camaro that had a ton of mods. When I traded that in for my ZL1 I said I wasn't going to mod it. Yeah that lasted all but a week or two..

If you want a track car get the 1le. If you want a highway/drag car get the gt500 .

don't forget you'll most likely be paying OVER sticker for a year or more on the C7... meanwhile there are lots of unsold ZL1's and incentives to be had.
