Went Ahead and Plasti-dipped
For $34 for 4 cans + 1 can glossifier, I went ahead and did the plasti-dip thing. Turned out pretty good, but it has some "do over" spots. I'll touch them up later.

That looks outstanding! In my personal opinion, these C7's *require* black wheels to look truly gorgeous. Well done, Gunny!

Thank you! Yeah, my original order would have had black wheels, but I got this one as a dealer stock when the Z51 constraint was on. So, I sacrificed black wheels and Nav. Got the black wheels taken care of…now if someone in the aftermarket would just figure out to add Nav I'd be set.

Doc, no I bagged off the rotors and calipers. That really inhibits you from being able to spray them well. But, I didn't have a lift or time. The inside is still the painted silver too. I figure the brake dust will take care of that. LoL! This is just a temporary solution until I can settle on the wheels I want. Most likely will be a set of HRE's…but this'll do for now.

Looks good Gunny, next time if you take the wheels off and put playing cards in between the gap of the tire and rim and lay them flat you may get even better results.

I'm sure it will last for a long time. I plan on changing my wheels whenever more aftermarket styles are released. The only issue I see long term is having to reapply coats as the wheel scuffs. No real problem there though.
Thanks! I could have done a lot better job with a better facility. Just did this in my garage, no lift in a couple hours. So far I've gotten nothing but compliments. Even with some spots that need touch up.

You'll get easy damages with the dip. If you have to change your wheels, (balancing, rotating, etc) they'll get scuffed. Also if a little part of it starts coming off, if you don't catch it soon enough, the motion from the wheels will start to peel the dip off itself.
Always have a can or two handy for repairs.
