He's yanking your chain. Co-workers used to ask my grandpa how he kept his police officer's hat so clean. He told them he hand washed it with maple syrup and they believed him. Needless to say, there were a bunch of angry policemen with ruined hats. LOL!

Sorry but where did you get this info from? Now in days with using a fully synthetic oil and a good brand filter you can go way above 3,000 miles.GM calls for a 5,000 Mile/1 year change (which ever comes first) and they are the one that makes the motor and car. Heck there are some dealers out there that wont even change your oil till the oil life monitor says its time and on my DD (which is a chevy) that is around 8,000 miles. Now if you tell me that your using Conventional oil (which shouldn't be used in the SS) then I would say 3,000 miles is the right interval to change your oil.

its not a gm extended warranty, it says right in the pamphlet to change it every 3 months or 3,000 miles and keep documentation, and the reason why i bought a non gm extended warranty is because i wanted to tune the car. I would also like to add that i have never had any kind of engine failure, so i know how to properly maintain a vehicle, the local gm dealer does their changes at 3750 miles
